Okanagan Staffing has a valued client in Vernon, BC who is a wholesale seed pack supplier.  They are seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to assist one day/week with administrative, customer service, and accounts receivable duties.

This Administrative Assistant role will handle the following tasks:

Computer work

  • Take bill of landing (delivery slip) from driver and invoice the customer via quick books.
  • Accounts Receivable - Receive payments (cheques) and update into QuickBooks
  • Update the Excel spreadsheet that works as backup and delivery schedule
  • Distribute emails to retailers  


  • Answer phones
  • Provide great customer service by answering questions that customers have regarding their accounts
  • Give cheques to warehouse manager for deposit preparation
  • Other duties, as required  

Applicants should have some MS Excel skills, including maintaining the current spreadsheet and knowledge of simple equations.  As well, previous experience utilizing MS Outlook to access and write emails is preferred.  Ability to work independently and take some initiative will be beneficial, as well as having customer service experience.

Our client is flexible on the day worked and hours; for example, if the individual wanted to work two half- days rather than one full day per week, that would be fine.  We only use AR in quick books, no other applications needed.
