Fun ways to make yourself a better worker!
Fun is essential in making working environment better for all involved. Learn how easy it is to live a fun work life?
Do you want to be a business whiz? Well guess what - you don’t need to get an MBA. Just read “The Cat in the Hat.” That’s because financial experts say Dr. Seuss’ stories - which are typically considered children’s books - are actually packed with smart business lessons. Here are the top ones.
• When it comes to money decisions, be decisive. Dr. Seuss’ “Hunches in Bunches" is a story about a boy who can't decide what to do one day. He thinks about all of the things he could do, like play football or go outside, but always finds a reason not to, so he ends up wasting the whole day doing nothing. So, when it comes to investing your money, educate yourself on ways you could make your money grow, like through a money market account or your 401k, and then most importantly, do it.
• Work as hard as the Cat in the Hat. When the Cat visits his young friends, it isn't all fun and games. There’s snow to shovel and a house to clean. So, experts say the story teaches the value of hard work – no matter how old you are. Even if you think you can slack off if your job’s washing the floors at a fast food restaurant don’t do it. Working hard at every job is the only way you’ll ever move up the ladder and earn the respect by showing you are a hard worker.
• Don’t be afraid to try something new. We all occasionally have “I don’t like green eggs and ham” moments. It’s natural to feel comfortable sticking with what you know, but if you’re afraid that you don’t know how to do anything but answer phones, you’ll be stuck in a dead-end job. So get some training and get out and look for something more challenging. You may discover that you like green eggs and ham after all.
So have fun in your work environment. The people who make the most money – love their jobs because they do what they love! It is up to you to make that connection with your job. As Dr. Seuss says, “The answers may be complicated – but the answers are simple”. As it is up to you to; “Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try!"
Not only should you apply Dr. Seuss’s books into your life, but his motivational quotes as well.
1. “You're off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so... get on your way!"
2. The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn the more places you'll go.”

• Don't be irreplaceable, if you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted.
• You can go anywhere you want if you look serious and carry a clipboard.
• Mother said there would be days like this, but she never said there would be so many.
• Anyone can do any amount of work as long as it isn't the work he is supposed to be doing.
